Four hour delay of Delhi Pune Air India flight leaves passengers frustrated

Pune: Air India flight 15 738, which was supposed to travel from Delhi to Pune via Lucknow, experienced a considerable delay of around four hours due to reported operational issues. This unforeseen disruption caused frustration and agitation among the passengers.

A passenger on the Delhi to Pune flight via Lucknow (15 738), expressed his disappointment on X. He mentioned that the flight was delayed by several hours and although it made it to Lucknow, it was sent back to Delhi without landing. The scheduled arrival time in Pune was 5 pm, but the passengers were still stuck in Delhi with no information as the crew had left.

Another passenger on Flight 15 738 from Delhi to Lucknow to Pune, expressed his disappointment on X. He stated that the situation was a joke, as the pilot was apparently not trained to land in slightly foggy conditions, despite other flights being able to do so on schedule. As a result, the passengers had an additional three hours to spend in Lucknow. The user later updated his tweet, revealing that the flight was delayed by an additional hour and five minutes.

Air India Express has issued an apology to the passenger in response to his tweet. The airline expressed its sincere apologies for the disruption caused during his flight and acknowledged the frustration and inconvenience it must have caused. The airline clarified that the disruption was due to operational reasons. However,  the passenger has expressed his discontent by requesting a partial refund of the ticket fare. The delay has caused significant disruption to the travel plans of the passengers on board, leading to discontent among them as they were expecting a timely arrival at their destination.
