Over multiple seasons of the show, the former boAt CMO has consistently backed promising founders, some of whom have gone on to build high-growth companies.

Reflecting on his journey as an investor on the show, Aman shared that one of his earliest investments has delivered exceptional results. A startup he funded in Season 1, initially valued at just ₹3.75 crore, has now grown into a company worth around ₹1,100 crore. He also spoke about another venture that recently onboarded Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav as its brand ambassador.

Looking back at Seasons 1 through 4, Aman revealed that he made a total of 177 offers to entrepreneurs, eventually closing 141 deals. Over these seasons, he has invested approximately ₹61.7 crore into various startups.

According to Aman, the show has played a significant role in encouraging entrepreneurship across the country while also educating audiences about the startup ecosystem. He explained that his approach has always been centered on backing founders he strongly believes in. Among all his investments, he highlighted three ventures that stand out the most — Let’s Try (Season 1), Manetain (Season 2), and EM5 (Season 4).

EM5’s Rapid Growth After Investment

One of the more recent investments Aman discussed was EM5, a fragrance brand he supported in Season 4.

Speaking about the brand’s progress, Aman mentioned that the company’s founder had a strong vision but needed support in building marketing and branding capabilities. After his investment, efforts were made to strengthen the brand’s marketing team and expand its operations. Aman also visited the company’s manufacturing facility and recommended automation to improve production efficiency.

As part of its brand-building strategy, EM5 partnered with Suryakumar Yadav as its face. The campaign featuring the cricketer has already gone live and is helping the company gain significant visibility in the market.

Operationally, EM5 has also scaled rapidly. Its monthly revenue run rate jumped from ₹1.7 crore to ₹4.5 crore, while the size of its manufacturing unit expanded from 6,000 sq. ft. to 30,000 sq. ft.

Manetain’s Expansion Beyond a Niche Market

Another startup Aman spoke about was Manetain, a hair-care brand that appeared on Shark Tank India Season 2.

Initially, the company focused only on products designed for curly hair — a niche segment in the broader hair-care market. Aman explained that he assisted the founders in two major areas.

First, he helped bring clarity to their marketing strategy, which previously lacked structure. By developing clearer marketing guidelines, the brand was able to communicate its identity more effectively.

Second, he encouraged the founders to expand beyond the limited curly-hair segment and introduce products targeting a wider audience. This move into a larger category significantly boosted the company’s growth.

As a result, Manetain’s customer base increased dramatically — from around 10,000 users to nearly 4 lakh customers.

Let’s Try: The Standout Investment

Among all his Shark Tank investments, Aman believes the biggest success story so far is Let’s Try, a food brand he invested in during the show’s first season.

When Aman initially backed the startup, it was valued at ₹3.75 crore. Since then, the company has experienced massive growth, with its valuation now estimated at ₹1,100 crore.

The company’s financial performance has improved sharply as well. Its annual revenue run rate climbed from ₹1.9 crore to ₹300 crore, while monthly revenue surged from around ₹12 lakh to nearly ₹40 crore.

Aman noted that beyond funding, he worked closely with the founders to improve their business structure and encouraged them to focus more on compliance and operational discipline as the company scaled. He also hinted that the next milestone he hopes to celebrate with the team is when the brand reaches ₹100 crore in monthly sales.

Aman Leads Investments in Season 5

The momentum has continued in the latest season of Shark Tank India as well. In Season 5, Aman currently holds the record for the highest number of investments among the sharks. Out of 129 startup pitches, he has invested in 23 businesses, committing a total of ₹24.6 crore so far.
