FYJC Online Admission Process Begins Today; Over 3.75 Lakh Seats Available in Pune Division

The online registration process for the First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions in Maharashtra begins at 11 AM today. This marks the start of Round 1 of the Central Admission Process (CAP), offering more than 20 lakh seats across the state. In the Pune division alone, a total of 3,75,843 seats are available—divided among science (1,03,705), commerce (1,01,971), and arts (1,70,170) streams.

Statewide, 9,281 junior colleges are participating in the process, with a seat distribution of 8,52,206 for science, 5,40,312 for commerce, and 6,50,682 for arts.

Students have until 6 PM on May 28 to complete the registration process via the official website [mahafyjcadmissions.in](http://mahafyjcadmissions.in). Each applicant can choose up to 10 junior colleges in order of preference. The provisional merit list will be released on May 30, followed by the final merit list on June 3.

This year, the admission process is fully digital, enabling students from any location in Maharashtra to apply without physically visiting colleges.

* EWS certificate (if applicable)

* Certificates for project-affected or earthquake-affected status

* Foster care certificate (for veterans or ex-servicemen’s wards)

* Sports certificate (for national/international athletes)

* Orphan certificate (if applicable)

* Foreign student certification (if applicable)

* Transfer order and joining letter (for children of government employees who have been transferred)
