Pune: This year, devotees in Pune will have the rare opportunity to witness a replica of the famous Mahakal Temple from Ujjain at Tulshibaug. The Shri Gajanan Mitra Mandal Trust is recreating the iconic temple for Ganeshotsav, offering a spectacular 120-foot-long and 61-foot-high structure that mirrors the revered Mahakal Temple, known as the abode of time itself.

For the entire 10 days of the festival, the temple will feature traditional Mahakal rituals, including the famed Bhasma Aarti, along with other daily ceremonies like the morning and evening Aartis, all performed by priests specially invited from Ujjain. The replica, situated at the entrance of the lane leading from Vishrambaugwada to Tulshibaug, is in its final stages of decoration.
