Ganga Florentina residents raise complaints to Nanda Lonkar

Residents of Ganga Florentina society in Mohamadwadi on Sunday, November 1, 2020 held a meeting with the local Corporator Nanda Lonkar of Prabhag 26 and apprised her of several issues pertaining to their neighborhood.

Over fifty residents of the society attended meeting and raised issues such as inadequate water supply, cleaning of road stretch between Cloud 9 to Nine Hills, stray dog menace, irregular garbage pick up, lack of amenities such as as gardens, sports ground, etc.

Shaukat Jani, chairman of the society said, “It was the first time that we had invited Nanda Lonkar to our society and apprised her of many problems which we are facing. Seeing her development work in the area we are hopeful that she will resolve our problems soon.”

Speaking to Nanda Lonkar, local Corporator of Prabhag 26 – NIBM – Kausarbaug – Mohamadwadi, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on the issues raised by the residents she said, “The residents have approached me for the first time with their issues. One by one each problem shall be resolved. Their problems consists of no garbage pick up, inadequate water supply, cleaning of road from Cloud 9 to Nine Hills, need of street lights and youths causing chaos in a residential area.”

The meeting was also attended by Narayan Lonkar, vice president, Hadapsar Legislative Assembly, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

The meeting was attended by residents of Ganga Florentina. Also members of Kumar Sublime, Chairman Shabbir Sayyed, secretary Avelino Noronha and member Shaheen. Samir Pathan president of Nagrik Adhikar Manch from Kondhwa was also present for the meeting.
