Under the leadership Pimpri Chinchwad, Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad Police Vinay Kumar Choubey, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Doiphode, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Balasaheb Kopnar, Senior Police Inspector Vaibhav Shingare, Anti-Narcotics Squad and Police Officers, Crime Branch seized ganja worth Rs 1 crore in the city recently. 

As per further information from Pimpri Chinchwad Police, on 12/1/2024, based on the information received by police officers of Anti-Narcotics Squad Sadanand Rudrakshe and Randhir Mane, the Anti-Narcotics Squad caught 3 people, identified as Krishna Maruti Shinde, Akshay Barku More & Hanumant Bhausaheb Kadam, at Mhaske Vasti within the limits of Ravet Police Station.

Goods worth Rs 30,55,700 have been seized from them which include 25 kg 691 gm ganja worth Rs 25,69,100, one white-colored Chevrolet Cruze car, 4 mobile phones and Rs 1,600 in cash. The 3 accused said that they took the ganja from a person called Devi Prasad aka Deva Sitaram Dukale and it was going to be sold to a person called Sourav Nirmal. Hence, a case has been registered against them at Ravet Police Station.

Then, the Anti-Narcotics Squad got information that Devi Prasad aka Deva Sitaram Dukale was in Undegaon, Taluka Paranda, District Dharashiv. The Anti-Narcotics Squad immediately went to Undegaon & caught Devi Prasad aka Deva Sitaram Dukale and seized 50 kg 200 grams of ganja worth Rs 50,20,000/-. Also, the said ganja had been transported in 2 ambulances to be sold to Sourav Nirmal, who was in Chikhali. Hence, the Anti-Narcotics Squad seized the 2 ambulances.

Also, on 13/1/2024, based on the information received by the police officers of Anti-Narcotics Squad Vijay Daundkar and Prasad Kalate, the Anti-Narcotics Squad caught 2 persons, identified as Sunny Deval Siddhanath Sharma & Sunny Deval Bhagwandas Bharati, both residents of Kuruli, Taluka Khed, District Pune, in Uttar Pradesh and seized 20 kg of 196 grams of ganja worth Rs 20,79,600/- along with two mobile phones. A case has been registered against them at Mhalunge Police Station.

Thus, in a single day, the Anti-Narcotics Squad collected a total of Rs 1,31,55,300/- in 2 operations. A total of 96 kg 87 grams of ganja, one Chevrolet Cruze car and two ambulances have been seized and the accused have been detained.
