The girl quickly realizes the message isn’t from her bank—it came from a regular mobile number.

As digital scams continue to rise, one young girl managed to turn the tables on a fraudster so cleverly that even the scammer had to acknowledge her wit.

In a viral video, a girl can be seen on a call with a scammer posing as a friend of her father. The man spins a convincing story, claiming that her father requested him to send ₹12,000 to her UPI account. Maintaining a calm and friendly tone, he then tells her he’s already transferred ₹10,000, even as she receives a suspicious SMS that appears to confirm the transaction.

But the girl quickly realizes the message isn’t from her bank—it came from a regular mobile number. The scammer then tries to execute his con, claiming he mistakenly sent ₹20,000 instead of ₹2,000 and asks her to return the extra ₹18,000.

Playing along, the girl decides to flip the script. She edits the fake SMS to make it seem as if she has sent him back ₹18,000 and sends it to him. Then she calmly says, “Lijiye uncle, aapko bhi chala gaya ₹18,000.”

Caught in his own game, the scammer pauses and responds, clearly impressed, “Maan gaya main aapko, beta,” before ending the call.

The video has since gone viral, with people praising her quick thinking and sharp mind. “That was a great presence of mind,” wrote one viewer, while another added, “She is a very smart girl with a high IQ for sure.”

However, some comments also focused on the possibility that the call would have been pre recorded and the conversation was already planned. Many raised doubts as to how the girl knew it was a scam without attending the call.
