Pune: The state government has decided to implement Seva Mahina (Service Week) from September 17 to October 16 this year. During this period, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to conduct a special campaign to dispose of all applications and complaints received on the website of the civic body and at various offices.

As per information, in 2015, the state government had started a Seva Portal for timely redressal of complaints of citizens so that the works of the common people are done within the prescribed period. Through that, the works of the public are expected to be directly transferred to the prescribed department and completed in a time-bound manner. However, after reviewing this portal as well as perusing the complaints received from the citizens at the Ministry level as prescribed by the competent authorities, it was pointed out that the related complaints are not being disposed of within the time limit.

Against this backdrop, the state government had celebrated Seva Pandhravada (Service Fortnight) in 2022 from September 17 to October 2. It was later extended till November 5 when pending applications and complaints were disposed of.

This year also, Seva Mahina will be organized from September 17 to October 16 to dispose of the pending applications from the various departments.

Pune Pulse tried contacting the relevant PMC Official but couldn’t connect till the report was filed.
