Google to get it’s second largest campus in Hyderabad ; Anand Mahindra showers appreciation

Pune: From 2022, Google has started building another office in Hyderabad, which now occupies 3 to 3.3 million square feet, making Hyderabad its second largest location outside of the US.

Anand Mahindra, Chairman of The Mahindra Group, praised Google for building its largest office outside of its US headquarters in Hyderabad.

Anand Mahindra took it to X to express his admiration towards this “This is not news about just one new building project. I read this slowly to let it sink into my mind. When a global, iconic giant like Google decides to build its largest office outside the U.S in a particular country, it’s not just commercial news, it’s a geopolitical statement. It’s all happening here now…finally.”

As per further information, by 2026, the new Google office in the city should be finished. The massive 3 million square foot elliptical building will make history as the largest campus building owned and operated by Google outside of the company’s Mountain View headquarters.

Leading the design is Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM), a British architectural firm making its first entry into the Indian office architecture market.

The campus was initially intended to be a 2 million square kilometer facility that required a Rs 1,000 crore investment. KT Rama Rao, the Telangana IT minister, visited Google’s headquarters in California in 2015, and the two parties signed an agreement.
