The volunteers waited at every turn of the route, cheering the runners. Water bottles, energy drinks and first aid kits were kept ready at different points to ensure smooth running of the event.

Up next were the 5kms runners, with the maximum participants (about 110). The flag off was at 7:00a.m . They left in small batches to avoid inconvenience to the traffic. With all possible age groups from 18 to 87 year old, each of them completed their route in unbelievable time. On the other hand the much-younger members of ages 5 to 12 ran their rounds within the society completing 2kms.

After all the rounds were complete, it was time for prize distribution. Men and Women categories for under 12, above 12 and seniors were distributed respectively. Residents were overjoyed with this Marathon, it did not feel like just an event, it was the True Essence of INDIA where even this small gathering was celebrated as a festival by one and all.
