Hadapsar Police Apprehend Dumper Driver After Fatal Collision with Motorbike in Manjri

In an unfortunate incident that occurred on October 5th, the Hadapsar Police have taken into custody the driver of a dumper vehicle involved in a collision with a motorbike in Manjri. The collision resulted in one individual sustaining severe injuries, while the other tragically lost their life.

According to the Hadapsar Police, the incident unfolded on the Manjri Railway Flyover when two brothers, Rihan Aziz Khan and Ujjaif Aziz Khan, were riding a motorcycle. In the same lane, a dumper truck was moving recklessly, blatantly disregarding traffic regulations. The dumper collided with the motorcycle, causing both Ujjaif and Rihan to be thrown from their bike. Ujjaif Khan sustained injuries, while Rihan Khan suffered fatal injuries and tragically lost his life. The dumper driver fled the scene without stopping or reporting the accident.

A case has been filed against the dumper driver at the Hadapsar Police Station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Sections 279, 337, and 304 (a), as well as Sections 184 and 134 (a) (b) of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Sagar Bhapkar, Police Sub Inspector at Hadapsar Police Station, stated, “The incident occurred on the Manjari Railway Flyover on October 5th. We have apprehended and arrested the dumper vehicle driver. Our investigation into the matter is ongoing, and once complete, we will file a chargesheet.”
