HDFC Bank has notified its customers that all debit, credit, and prepaid card transactions will be temporarily unavailable during a scheduled system upgrade. The bank has communicated these planned outages via email and SMS.

The system upgrade will take place on June 4, 2024, from 12:30 AM to 2:30 AM, and on June 6, 2024, from 12:30 AM to 2:30 AM. During these times, all HDFC Bank debit, credit, and prepaid card services will be temporarily unavailable.

This will affect transactions at HDFC Bank ATMs, POS (card swipe machines at stores), and online payment gateways, including Netsafe transactions. Additionally, HDFC Bank Rupay Cards will not function for online transactions, even on other payment gateways not operated by HDFC Bank.

In addition to the scheduled maintenance, starting from June 25, HDFC Bank will stop sending SMS alerts for UPI transactions below Rs 100. However, email alerts for all UPI transactions will still be generated. SMS alerts will only be sent for UPI transactions above Rs 100 or when customers receive more than Rs 500.

HDFC Bank encourages its customers to plan their card transactions ahead of the scheduled upgrade to minimize any inconvenience.
