Maharashtra is set to experience a significant heatwave as temperatures begin rising steadily across the state, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned. According to the weather advisory, hot and dry conditions will prevail on March 3 (Dhulivandan), with the maximum temperature expected to rise by 3 to 4°C in several regions.

The weather department has cautioned that temperatures will continue to climb in the coming days, urging citizens to take necessary precautions against heat-related illnesses, dehydration, and heat exhaustion.

Konkan Region: Hot and Humid Conditions

The coastal belt, including MumbaiThaneRaigadRatnagiri, and Sindhudurg, will witness hot and humid weather.

    • Maximum: 29–32°C
    • Minimum: 24–26°C
    • High humidity levels will intensify discomfort and heat stress.

Western Maharashtra: Dry and Hot Spell

Cities including PuneSataraSangli, and Kolhapur will face dry and hot conditions.

  • Pune temperature forecast:
    • Maximum: 31–34°C
    • Minimum: 16–19°C

North Maharashtra: Rising Heat Levels

Districts such as NashikDhuleJalgaon, and Nandurbar will see a noticeable rise in temperatures.

Marathwada Region: Hot and Dry Weather
