Huge fire breaks out in Pimpri; 20 vehicles burnt; No casualties or injuries reported

On 24th December (Sunday), a massive fire broke out in Vitthal Nagar Vasahat in Nehrunagar, Pimpri. No casualties or injuries were reported. 

As per further information shared by PCMC Fire Department, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation fire brigade personnel went to the Vitthal Nagar Vasahat, building no 5, near Annasaheb Magar Stadium, Nehrunagar, Pimpri at around 2 am on 24th December (Sunday) and inspected the fire. The fire vehicles from Bhosari, Chikhli and Moshi Sub Fire Stations were called to the spot.

The fire was brought under control by using 2 lines of 4 hoses. Due to the heavy smoke, with the help of BA Set (Breathing Apparatus), the fire officers ensured that no one got trapped in the smoke on the upper floors. It was observed that approximately 20 vehicles were burnt at the said place. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained.

No casualties or injuries have been reported in the incident.

PCMC fire officers Vinayak Nale, Vikas Naik, Amol Chiplunkar, Arjun Jadhav, Vikas Kute, Abhishek Bhange, Sanket Shinde and other fire officers participated in the operation to extinguish the fire.
