Traffic Diversion on MG Road for Christmas issued by Pune Traffic Police

The Pune Traffic Police has issued changes in traffic on Mahatma Gandhi (MG) Road & surrounding areas ahead of Christmas 2023.
As per further information from the Pune Traffic Police, on 25/12/2023, on the occasion of Christmas festival, there will be a huge crowd on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Pune Camp area. Therefore, in order to avoid traffic jams on the road & in order to keep the traffic safe and smooth, except for vehicles of essential service (viz. fire brigade, police vehicles, Ambulance etc.), on 24/12/2023 and 25/12/2023, the traffic on Mahatma Gandhi Road and the surrounding area will be temporarily changed as follows:
· The traffic coming from Y Junction to M.G. Road will be closed at 15th August Chowk and diverted towards Qureshi Masjid and Sujata Mastani Chowk.
· From ISKCON Mandir Chowk, traffic going to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Statue & Arora Tower will be stopped and it will be diverted to SBI House & Teen Tofa Chowk.
· The traffic going from Volga Chowk to Mohammad Rafi Chowk will be stopped and the said traffic will be diverted straight to Indira Gandhi Chowk via East Street Road.
· Traffic going from Indira Gandhi Chowk to Mahavir Chowk will be stopped and the said traffic will be diverted from Indira Gandhi Chowk to Lashkar Police Station Chowk.
· Traffic going from Sarbatwala Chowk to Mahaveer Chowk will be closed and the said traffic will be diverted via Tabut Street Road.
However, motorists should use the mentioned alternative roads and cooperate with the traffic police to avoid possible inconvenience.
