Huge response to ‘Tiranga Samman Yatra’ at Pimple Saudagar

Hundreds of people were carrying the tricolor and chanting patriotic slogans.

The 75th Independence Day of the country was celebrated in Pimple Saudagar area with great enthusiasm and joy by hoisting the tricolor in every house.
BJP Chinchwad Vidhan Sabha Mahila Morcha and President of Unnati Social Foundation Kundatai Bhise organised ‘Tiranga Samman Yatra’ to mark the day.

The procession started from Kokane Chowk in Pimple Saudagar at precisely 10 am with patriotic songs playing in the background. Nearly five hundred citizens participated in the yatra.

Flowers were showered on the participants of the yatra and the national flag was hoisted to the sound of dhol-lezim. Patriotic fervour ran high as the citizens looked at the 75 feet flag.

The yatra concluded with the National Anthem at the Balasaheb Kunjir Stadium.

On this occasion, soldier Shantaram Sond, entrepreneur Vijayakumar, senior police inspector Sunil Tonpe, senior police officer Deshpande, former air force officer Ashok Chavan, retired police officer Vinayak Shinde, senior citizen D. B. Kadate, retired jawan Rajendra Jaiswal, retired army officer Chintamani Kavitkar were honoured by dignitaries.

BJP Chinchwad Vidhan Sabha Mahila Morcha president and Unnati Social Foundation president Kundatai Bhise, entrepreneur and social activist Sanjay Sheth Bhise, BJP Chinchwad Vidhan Sabha Constituency Election Chief Shankarsheth Jagtap and former corporator Shatrughan Kate participated in the Tricolor Samman Yatra.

Former corporators Nirmala Kute, Ashok Kate, Ramesh Jagtap, Bhanusad Kate Patil, Raju Bhise, all members of Anand Laughter Club, Vithai Library, Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Pimple Saudagar villagers participated in large numbers.

Kundatai Bhise said, “Today we are moving towards a historical stage in the journey of an ancient nation like India. All of the generations post-independence worked hard in spite of facing great challenges. During the era of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has taken a great leap of progress. That is the reason our country is being respected all over the world today. Through the `Tiranga Samman Yatre’, the burning flame of patriotism could be seen in the Pimple Saudagar area. Like Independence Day, this flame of intense patriotism will continue to burn forever, and I will continue to strive for this.”
