Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is set to return to the field in the upcoming International Masters League (IML) T20 2025.

The tournament, featuring retired players, will be played from February 22 to March 16, with matches scheduled in Navi Mumbai, Lucknow, and Raipur.  

Five teams India, West Indies, England, Australia, and South Africa will compete in the inaugural edition. Tendulkar will lead India Masters, which includes star players like Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Naman Ojha, and Stuart Binny.   

The 50-year-old, who retired from international cricket in 2013, has played in a few legends’ tournaments over the years but has rarely taken the field. His return has sparked excitement among fans.

Tendulkar fueled anticipation with a social media post on X (formerly Twitter). He shared an image of his iconic pose, standing tall with his bat, and wrote, “I AM READY, ARE YOU?” His post quickly went viral, with fans expressing nostalgia and joy at the chance to watch the “Master Blaster” in action again.

Tendulkar played international cricket for 24 years, making his debut in 1989 at age 16. He holds numerous records and has led India to historic victories. While he has stayed connected to the sport, his on-field appearances have been rare in recent years.  

With the IML T20 2025 around the corner, cricket fans eagerly await the return of one of the game’s greatest icons.
