Farmers on Edge as Harvest Season Continues
Farmers across Maharashtra are expressing concern as the unseasonal rain poses a serious threat to standing paddy and cotton crops.
Many regions have already suffered crop damage due to excess monsoon rains earlier this year, which exceeded the seasonal average. Now, with harvesting in progress, another spell of rain could cause significant losses to the agricultural community.
The IMD has urged farmers to take necessary precautions to protect harvested produce, particularly in regions where harvest and picking activities are ongoing.
