Important Announcement : Two-Hour Block on Pune Mumbai Expressway for Landslide Debris Removal Near Kamshet Tunnel

With the third incident of landslide reported on the Pune Mumbai Expressway last night, the Highway Police authorities have decided to keep the expressway on the Mumbai route closed near Kamshet Tunnel. 

To clear the debris and the severity of the loosened soil falling off on the road even now, the decision was taken to stop vehicular movement between 2 PM and 4 PM today. The landslide incidents have occurred at Kamshet Tunnel, Adoshi tunnel and Khandala areas in the past few days. 

The Highway police and other concerned departments are carrying out repair works at the expressway to clear the debris. At present, only two lanes were kept open for traffic and one lane was kept open. 

As a precautionary measure, the traffic is stopped on the expressway. The vehicular movement will be diverted from Kiwale only to Pune Mumbai Old Highway via Khandala ghat onto expressway. The vehicular traffic on Pune route from Mumbai will remain operational.
