Important : State Government decides waive off toll charges for devotees travelling to Konkan during Ganesh Festival

PUNE: The state government has made a decision to provide relief to individuals traveling to Konkan for Ganeshotsav. 

From September 16 to October 1, toll fees will be waived for those traveling to Ganpati in Konkan. The Chief Minister’s Office has issued an order to the Public Works Department in this regard.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister’s Office has instructed the Public Works Department to create toll waiver passes in the form of ‘Ganeshotsav 2023, Konkan Darshan’ with the car number and driver’s name printed on it. 

These passes should be made available at police stations, traffic police chowkis, and RTO offices in coordination with the transport department, traffic police, and concerned regional transport department (RTO) as per the required number.

Additionally, this pass will be valid for return travel. Recently, potholes on the Mumbai-Goa highway were repaired in preparation for Ganeshotsav.
