Pune: Srirang Barne, Shiv Sena MP from Maval has demanded Eknath Shinde, Maharashtra Chief Minister to include the seven villages namely Hinjawadi, Maan, Marunji, Jambe, Nerhe, Sangavade, Gahunje under the jurisdiction of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) as they are deprived of development.

As per the information, Shinde has directed the administration to send a proposal immediately. Therefore, MP Barne expressed the belief that these villages will soon come under the municipality.

Additionally,  it is necessary to develop Hinjawadi and Maan areas which are an Information technology hub. Citizens from all over the country live in this place. Considering the increasing urbanization, lack of facilities, and traffic problems, these villages need to come under the Municipal Corporation. Due to the increasing population, the gram panchayat can’t provide facilities to the citizens. Citizens have demanded the inclusion of villages in municipal corporations for facilities. These villages in Maval, Mulshi taluka are very close to the PCMC.

Gahunje has an international standard cricket stadium. As the sewage treatment plant in this village is not sufficient, the impure water is discharged directly into the river bed. Due to this, the pollution of the Pavana River has increased. MP Barne requested that the villages of Hinjewadi, Maan, Marunji, Nerhe, Jambe, Sangavade and Gahunje should be included in the municipal area to develop these villages so that citizens should get all the facilities to prevent unauthorized construction. Shinde has assured that a decision in this regard will be taken soon.
