India Launches 'Operation Sindhu' To Evacuate Nationals From Iran Amid Escalating Tensions, 110 Students Evacuated
India has launched Operation Sindhu to evacuate Indian nationals from Iran in light of rising tensions with Israel.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed on Tuesday that 110 Indian students were successfully evacuated from northern Iran and shifted to Armenia.

A special flight carrying the students departed from Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, at 2:55 PM local time on June 18 and is expected to land in Delhi at 2:00 AM.
In an official statement, the MEA said, “The Indian Embassy in Tehran is continuously monitoring the security situation and maintaining close contact with Indian students in Iran to ensure their safety.”
Operation Sindhu reflects India’s proactive approach to safeguarding its citizens abroad during crisis situations.
