The airport released a notification on Saturday evening, notifying the public about the temporary closure of the airspace for 45 minutes on 19 November. According to SVPI, the airspace will be inaccessible from 13:25 to 14:10 hours. The closure is necessary to accommodate an air display conducted by the Indian Air Force.

The SVPI Airport management has issued a notification urging passengers to allow extra time for travel-related procedures and mandatory security protocols. Additionally, passengers are strongly recommended to verify their flight schedules with their respective airlines as a result of airspace closure.

Akasa Air Airlines has released a travel advisory notifying passengers that there may be delays in the arrival and departure of flights in Ahmedabad due to the closure of airspace.

The airline posted on X that flights arriving and departing from Ahmedabad may encounter delays on 19th Nov 2023, from 13:15 hrs to 14:10 hrs, due to the closure of airspace caused by the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 finals.
