Indian Navy to clash with Western Railways in finals of Kattakkar Trophy All India Inter Club 'Water Polo' Tournament in Pune

Indian Navy will clash with Western Railways in the final of the Kattakkar Trophy All India Inter Club Water Polo Tournament which is being organised by Deccan Gymkhana Under the auspices of the Swimming Federation of India and played  at the Tilak Tank  of Deccan Gymkhana.

In an exiting encounter between Indian Navy and Eastern Railway (First Semi-Final) where Eastern Railway Goalkeepr Biswajeet single handedly kept them in the match for the first two quarters. However the Navy stallwarts showed their class in the third and the fourth quater to decisively win the game 15-09. Bhagesh Kuthe of the Indian Navy was adjudged the Man of the Match.

In the Second Semi Final between Western Railway Calcutta Sports Association (CSA) was a lot more exiting with the match tied at 8-8 by the end of the third quarter. Western Railway boasting a plathora of National and International Water Polo Players couldn’t break the CSA teams resolute. However Sarang of Western Railway turned the tide by scoring 3 consequetive goals helping Western Railway gain and unbeatable 3 goals lead. 

Sovik Dhali of CSA tried his level best but could not counter the experienced and class of Western Railway. With Western Railway winning the match 14-09 to gain a place in the Finals. 

Tomorrow the final match will be start at 3pm .
