Intelligent Parcel Delivery System starts at Hinjawadi’s Infotech Park post office

ANVIT (Ahar Nisham Vitaran) – an Intelligent Parcel delivery System, which facilitates delivery of Postal Articles/Parcels round the clock (24×7) at the convenience of the Customers was launched at the Infotech Park Post Office, Hinjawadi, Pune by the Department of Posts, Pune on November 29. 

The ANVIT  day and night delivery services were inaugurated by G Madhumita Das, Postmaster-General, Pune Region. This is a pilot project, which will be made available to the public served by Infotech Park Post Office, Pune-411057 free of cost.

Goparaju Satish, Senior Supdt. Of Post Offices, Pune City East Division while speaking to Pune Pulse said that this will benefit the customers and will improve the delivery experience. This is an innovation in the last mile delivery of the mail value chain and relevant in these times of pandemic.

G Madhumita Das, Postmaster-General, Pune Region took first delivery of a Speed Post Parcel after inauguration. Vishal Sakhre, Sarpanch of Hinjawadi gaon graced the inauguration.  

How does India Posts ANVIT service work ?

 ANVIT will be used to deliver postal articles which can be received by the addressee on convenience at any time. 

To avail this service, mobile number of addressee should be available with the Post Office. 

An automated sms alert will be sent to the recipient along with OTP/code, which is required to be entered to access the ANVIT Parcel locker.

About Infotech Park Office, Hinjawadi 

Infotech Park Post Office, Pune is the first Post Office to have this innovative ANVIT service in Pune Region. Depending on the response from members of the public, this facility will be further extended to some other locations in Pune City. This ANVIT Parcel locker will be more beneficial to the citizens in Hinjewadi Gaon area in the event of their being not available at home when the Postman attempts doorstep delivery of Postal Articles/Parcels. Citizens are advised to take benefit of this initiation of India Post.
