Interactive session on ‘Post Covid Era – New avenues for students’

On Sunday, 2 May 2021 an exuberant virtual session was held for students and parents through the’ ‘EduDrone- We Connect’ platform having a pack house of over 300 plus students and parents participating in the session under the topic, ‘Post Covid Era- Booming careers for the students’.

Various eminent edu-leaders joined in to share their views on the topic.

The session began with the introductory speech by Kajal Chhatija, Founder, EduDrone – WE CONNECT, Executive Director, Gayatri Group of Schools, on the changing trends in business due to the pandemic crisis. She brought everyone’s focus on the usage of data which has increased by 38% globally. Being digitally equipped is the need of the hour. With this she welcomed everyone and initiated the discussion to explore new upcoming careers for the students to be future ready.

Reetu Jain, Founder, On my own technology, Mumbai, introduced the term ‘ multi- skilling’ to the students, and how this is the need of the hour to grow. She further guided students to possess this skill in their routine to achieve success.

The next speaker on the forum was Dharini Upadhyaya, Co- Founder, Furtados School of Music, Mumbai where she explained beautifully the importance to follow one’s’ heart and perceive the career which they love and are passionate about.

The spotlight was then focused on Jayashree Venkatraman, Principal, SNBP International School, Rahatani, Pune.  Jayashree explored the field of Artificial Intelligence, calling it native for students of the present era. She focused the talk on integrating AI driven technology into the field of Agriculture as 60-70% of our total population depends on it containing 18-20% of the country’s GDP. She visioned Agricultural managers in the near future equipped with advanced AI technologies to boost our natural fields. She ended her speech by humming a lovely nature song, ‘learn a lesson from the sun…’.

The next speaker to share her views was Supriya Kumarevelan, Communication coach , soft skills trainer, Chennai. She shared 2 tips for students and parents to follow, the first one- follow your passion and pursue a career in it, the second one for parents- never force your dreams or aspirations upon your kids, instead be the raindrop in your child’s life for them to bloom like flowers. She further explained the use of technology aptly and explored the field of technology through digital marketing , SEO expertise, CRM experts, bloggers etc.

The session was further handed over to Ritesh Kapoor, Principal A S N Hr. Sec School and chief editor, Daily the Excel Express, Jammu.  Ritesh started his speech by giving the audience a golden aim, ‘Archive whatever you want and secondly enjoy the achievement further’. He focused on upgrading the learning skills of students by making the current ongoing online academic sessions to be more engaging and fun to learn, where the teachers have to play a major role. He even shared through an example, the use of a digital platform to learn and earn which can be explored by kids. Summing up his speech, Ritesh shared a shiny habit with students saying, keep learning in all phases of life, people who keep learning, only they succeed.

Simran Kaur, Principal, Podar International School, Chakan, Pune gave insightful tips. Simran, very humbly simplified the importance of healing our souls through humanity in the current ongoing pandemic scenario.

The last speaker for the event was Manoj Saigal, Visiting faculty, SP Jain/ ISME/HR/Jai Hind, Mumbai. Manoj talked on the field of healthcare and research in the upcoming future understanding the severity of the ongoing medical crisis in the nation.

He further mentioned, Technology would be a mediator for integrating all walks of career and life.

The session was enthusiastically and vibrantly moderated by Kajal Chattija, Founder, EduDrone and Executive Director, Gayatri group of schools, Pune.

The students along with their parents enjoyed the session to its fullest, concluding its goal achieved.
