IRCTC website resumes working after 11 hours : Passengers Demand Refund Over Ticket Bookings

July 25, Tuesday was a tough day for Indian railway passengers as the IRCTC, national railway booking platform stopped working leaving many passengers without tickets. The passengers complained that the ticket booking portal remained Unavailable for over 10 hours.

The twitter account informed that the service wa shut down due to technical reasons.

Soon, after the portal resumed it’s services, the passengers who made their bookings received messages of deducted amount from their account. The twitter account was flooded with messages from passengers demanding refund from the portal.

The twitter account of IRCTC at 13: 28 on July 25 informed :

Booking issue has been resolved now. irctc.co.in/nget/train-sea and Rail connect app is working now. Inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.

IRCTC PRS ticket booking Website was having technical issue since 02.56 hrs to 13.28 hrs.

From 13.28 hrs, now IRCTC website is working normally.
