In a tragic incident in Ranchi, Jharkhand, a DJ from West Bengal was shot dead inside a bar opposite the Radisson Blu hotel in the early hours of Monday. 

According to Jharkhand Police, the shooting occurred around 1 AM at the Extreme Bar after it had closed for the night. CCTV footage captured the shooter and four accomplices entering the bar and demanding alcohol from the staff. 

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) informed, “Upon being refused, a heated argument ensued between the group and the bar staff. During the altercation, one individual retrieved a rifle and shot the DJ in the chest at point-blank range.” 

The shooter, who had covered his face with his t-shirt in the CCTV footage, fled the scene immediately after the incident. 

The critically injured DJ was rushed to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), where he was declared dead by doctors. The deceased was reportedly working on a performance wage. 

Jharkhand Police have gathered CCTV footage from the bar, and a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory has collected evidence from the crime scene. Authorities are meticulously reviewing the CCTV footage to identify the shooter and his accomplices, and a search operation is underway to apprehend the culprits. The police are also questioning bar employees as part of their investigation.
