JITO organizes ‘Ahimsa’ marathon on March 31

The Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) Pimpri Chinchwad Chapter is hosting an all-religion “Ahimsa” marathon on Sunday, March 31, as announced by President Manish Oswal. The event kicks off at 5:30 am from the grounds of Jain Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Chinchwad Pavananagar. 

Participants will traverse a route through Bijlinagar, Bhel Chowk, Lal Bahadur Shastri Chowk, Krishna Hotel in Nigdi, and back to the Jain School Ground in Chinchwad.

The marathon offers three categories: 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km, accommodating various fitness levels.

This event, coordinated by 68 chapters of JITO nationally and 27 internationally, has earned recognition in the Guinness Book of Records for promoting non-violence and peace. Thousands of citizens are expected to join in the run. Participants will receive shirts and refreshments for their involvement.

Key figures involved in organizing this initiative include President Manish Oswal, Chief Secretary Yogesh Bafna, Jeeto Women Wing President Vaishali Bafna, Secretary Yogita Lunkad, Jeeto Youth President Saurabh Bedmutha, and Secretary Pranab Khabia.
