“Justice is Due”: Bengaluru Techie Dies by Suicide, Alleges Harassment by Wife in 24-Page Note
A 34-year-old man, Atul Subhash, a senior executive at a private firm in Bengaluru, was found dead by suicide at his residence in Marathahalli on Monday. Originally from Uttar Pradesh, Subhash reportedly left behind a 24-page death note accusing his wife and her family of harassment, as per police reports.
The incident took place in the Manjunath Layout area, where Subhash had been living alone following his separation from his wife. Police revealed that he had been dealing with a marital dispute and was recently named in a domestic violence case filed by his wife in Uttar Pradesh. This legal battle is believed to have added to his emotional distress, according to The Hindu.
This part of our legal system needs a complete overhaul. So many innocent men and their families are being tortured. Imagine what #AtulSubhash must be going through during his last moments.#JusticeForAtulSubhash pic.twitter.com/y0WTsQMOfB

“Justice is Due”
Subhash meticulously planned his final actions, emailing his death note to multiple recipients and sharing it in a WhatsApp group of an NGO he was associated with. He also placed a placard in his home that read, “Justice is due.” Additionally, he left key information on a cupboard, including details about his note, vehicle keys, and a list of pending and completed tasks, reflecting his desire for his story to be acknowledged.
Following a complaint from a neighbor, police registered a case of unnatural death and filed abetment charges against Subhash’s wife and her family. Authorities are now conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, as reported by PTI.
This tragedy highlights the severe toll of unresolved marital disputes and mental health struggles. Authorities encourage individuals experiencing distress to seek support from mental health professionals or helplines.
