Kareena Kapoor Khan finds herself embroiled in controversy as the Madhya Pradesh High Court issues a notice regarding the title of her book, ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible.’

The notice stems from a petition filed by advocate Christopher Anthony, who objects to the use of the word ‘Bible’ in the title and demands a ban on the book.

According to a news agency, Anthony contends that the inclusion of ‘Bible’ in the title is offensive to the Christian community and accuses Kapoor of seeking “cheap publicity” through the association with the holy book. “Bible is the holy book of Christianity worldwide, and it is inappropriate to equate Kareena Kapoor Khan’s pregnancy with the Bible,” he asserts.

The notice, issued by Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia, calls for Kapoor to provide an explanation for her choice of title. Sellers of the book have also been served notice. Anthony’s efforts to file an FIR against Kapoor were unsuccessful, prompting him to pursue legal action through the courts.

Despite earlier rejections of his plea, Anthony persists in his objection to the title, arguing that it fails to recognize the sanctity of the Bible. Kapoor’s book, published in 2021, has drawn scrutiny for its perceived insensitivity to religious sentiments.

Meanwhile, in the realm of cinema, Kapoor was recently featured in ‘Crew,’ a film released in March that also stars Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The movie delves into the challenges faced by flight attendants in the struggling airline industry, weaving a narrative of intrigue and deception.

Looking ahead, Kapoor is set to appear in Rohit Shetty’s highly anticipated ‘Singham Again,’ alongside an ensemble cast featuring Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff. In a recent interview with Variety, Kapoor teased the significance of her and Padukone’s roles in the upcoming Bollywood blockbuster, promising a quintessential masala entertainer for audiences.
