Karwa Chauth celebrated by Nyati Empire residents in Kharadi

Residents of Nyati Empire Society in Kharadi were in vibrant mood ahead of Karwa Chauth celebrations which were held yesterday on November 4, 2020.  The celebrations of Karwa Chauth were in festive spirit where the women were dressed in the traditional attire holding decorative puja thalis and singing traditional songs sung during the evening puja. 

“We celebrate each festival with gusto .2020 has been a challenging year .The pandemic and the subsequent lock down has had its toll . However, this did not dampen the spirits of fasting ladies. Keeping the traditions alive, ladies celebrated with a twist . Donning matching masks with their bridal best ladies performed the Pooja maintaining social distancing and sanitising frequently, ” said Mehzabin Saiyed Secretary, Nyati Empire. 
“We got together and as per custom , performed the puja and exchanged the thalis but maintaining social distancing, ” said Naina Jaiswal, a Resident Nyati Empire. 

She added, “Karwa Chauth is all about observing an auesterious fast for the long life of ones partner. It is believed that this festival makes the bond of love stronger between the married couple. We are celebrating Karvachauth differently this year in our sweet cozy society , keeping all the safety norms in mind.”
