Kashif Fakhrul Sayyed Pushes For Better Education And Infrastructure In Kondhwa Khurd – Kausarbaug
With Kondhwa Khurd–Kausarbaug (Prabhag 19) witnessing rapid population growth, the urgent need for government-run educational institutions and improved civic infrastructure has come to the forefront. Local leader Kashif Fakhrul Sayyed has outlined an ambitious plan to transform the ward into a hub of quality education and sustainable urban development.
At present, the area lacks adequate Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)-run primary and secondary schools, forcing many parents to send their children long distances for education. There is also a glaring shortage of high schools, degree colleges, and junior colleges, which has become a growing concern for residents. As more families settle in the locality, the absence of accessible and affordable education is creating significant pressure on existing private institutions.
Sayyed’s vision includes establishing PMC-run schools, higher secondary institutions, and degree colleges to make quality education available and affordable for all sections of society.
Road Widening
Alongside education, the leader has called for widening and upgrading internal roads, many of which remain narrow and congested, causing severe traffic bottlenecks during peak hours. Improved road connectivity is seen as a crucial step in enhancing accessibility to schools, hospitals, and other essential services.
Healthcare Facilities
He has also emphasized the importance of setting up medical facilities, including dispensaries and healthcare centers to cater to the rising community’s health needs.
Sayyed aims to create a long-term roadmap that balances educational growth, civic development, and environmental sustainability. His proposal envisions Kondhwa Khurd–Kausarbaug evolving into a model ward, where residents benefit from better public amenities, accessible learning opportunities, and improved quality of life.
