Kolkata : Minor Fire breaks out at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport

Minor Fire was reported at the check in counter at Kolkata based Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose airport today.

The twitter account of Kolkata Airport shared, “There was a minor fire & smoke on the check in area portal D at 2112 pm. and fully extinguished by 2140 pm. All passengers are evacuated safely and check in process suspended due to presence of smoke in the check in area. Check in and operation will resume by 1015 pm.”

Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister for civil aviation on the incident tweeted :

The fire incident was reported at 9.10 pm on Wednesday. The prompt evacuation of passengers and shopkeepers from the D portal averted damages.
