Kondhwa based group of NGOs open COVICARE clinic for less privileged patients

The clinic located at Shop no. 9, Manish Park Phase I in Kondhwa off NIBM road started about a week ago to treat patients with initial covid symptoms.

The facility is set up by Raabta Foundation and is run by Dr Anwar Parvez Sayed, pulmonologist and infectious diseases specialist.

Dr Anwar Parvez Sayed who runs the clinic is a faculty member with the Washington University’s Department of Global Health.

The initiative taken by Dr Anwar Parvez Sayed is supported by Dare Arqam Charitable Trust, Sobah Trust and Nisar Foundation. It is recommended that patients take prior appointment and then visit. The clinic is open from 4.30 pm to 8 pm on all weekdays. Free consultation and medicines are given free to those who cannot afford. For appointments call on 7558370950.

Yasmin Junaid from Sobah Trust said, “It is very important to seek medical opinion even in case of mild cough and fever. Timely diagnosis can definitely help in curbing the spread of the infection in the body.”
