Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation gears up with medical facilities for children

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Rajesh Patil in a meeting held today informed that as projected the third wave of Covid19 will affect young children. 

In order to prepare the medical facilities to fight against this wave, it is important that we create facilities to tackle the situation. 

He said, “Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is gearing up with medical infrastructure. Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial hospital has reserved 150 to 200 beds. Also two ICUs of 15-15 beds to be set up in the hospital. The new Jijamata Hospital Hospital at Pimpri will be set up as a Covid Hospital for children and 100 oxygen beds will be available there.

Masulakar Colony proposed Eye Hospital shall be created as children’s Covid hospital with 50 beds capacity. It has also been decided to map all pediatricians in PCMC along with hospital facilities in PCMC area.  The MHADA building near 100 feet road at Pimpri Waghere ha been taken over by the Municipal Corporation and a decision is taken to set up a Covid Care Center for children there. It was also decided to make necessary manpower, drugs and equipment’s like ventilators for kids well before in time.”
