Pune – In a shocking incident, a 55-year-old industrialist from Pune’s Kothrud area, Laxman Sadhu Shinde, was found murdered in Jehanabad, Bihar after being kidnapped from Patna Airport. He was reportedly strangled to death in what police are calling a “cyber murder.”

Shinde had traveled to Patna for business after receiving an email offering company tools and machinery at significantly reduced prices. Believing it to be a genuine deal, he went to Bihar, but his family lost contact with him soon after. A missing person complaint was filed at the Kothrud police station. On April 11, he last spoke to his wife, Ratnaprabha, in the evening before his phone was switched off. His dead body was later recovered in Jehanabad.

Police have detained three suspects, including a young woman, in connection with the case. Initial investigations suggest that the victim was lured under the pretext of a scrap deal, then kidnapped and murdered. Police have seized a black Scorpio vehicle, a laptop, and four expensive mobile phones from the suspects.

Shinde’s brother-in-law, Vishal Lavaji Lokhande, had filed missing person reports in both Pune and Patna. Based on the investigation, police suspect the group behind the murder is a professional gang that typically kidnaps victims, withdraws money from their accounts, and then releases them. However, in Shinde’s case, the situation escalated to murder. Authorities are now trying to uncover the motive behind killing him.
