Krishna Prakash disguises as common man to arrest person using fake govt ID’s

Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash, who is known as Ironman, once again disguised himself and carried out a sting operation.

This time the extortioner was found using Prakash’s name to loot money and grab property. As the news was confirmed, Krishna Prakash took prompt action against the culprit and carried out the sting operation.

The incident took place on Saturday night around 9 to 9.30 pm near Poona gate hotel in Nigdi. A case has been filed at Dehu road police station which falls under the jurisdiction of Pimpri Chinchwad police commissionerate. The incident came to light when Vincent Joseph 52, lodged a complaint with police. On Saturday night as soon as the suspect was zeroed down and handcuffed, the PCMC commissioner IPS Krishna Prakash personally led the operation and interacted with them.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, IPS Krishna Prakash said, “The culprit was using police officers names and cheating people. The suspect Roshan Bagul from Nashik decided to take advantage of this and used names of police officers while setting up transaction with the buyers. Upon investigation Roshan was caught with a fake government ID card of Maharashtra Police as well as on one side his name, detailed as Maharashtra state police officer associated in crime branch and handling the cases of cyber crime was mentioned on the other side. It also had a photo of Roshan on it. “

He threatened a house owner in Pimpri Chinchwad for procuring a flat by showing the same iCard. And on minimum amount of rent he started residing. “He said, “Suspect Roshan claimed that he was acquainted with me in some cases. He also promised that if he did not help in the land transaction, his boss would get the things done from IPS Vishwas Nangre Patil. Roshan demanded money for such transactions. The matter came to the notice of us. We chalked out a plan to nab him and as decided I disguised him as a common man to teach him a lesson and hatched a plan to zero down him with red handed. We arranged the cash and accordingly laid a trap.

“Accordingly, the Commissioner of Police Prakash dressed as a common man. Roshan was then called to a hotel in Nigdi. There Krishna Prakash himself entered in the guise of a common man. After all the negotiations, it was decided to pay. But Roshan’s plan foiled when he found out that all the notes except the one above were counterfeit. All of this was captured on the hotel’s CCTV. As soon as Roshan was arrested. In this regard the police has also arrested Gayatri Bagul and Pooja Mane are in custody along with Roshan in the case.

The search for the other two is on. Earlier in the past also Commissioner of Police Krishna Prakash had disguised himself to understand the ground realities of the working of his staff at the commissionerate.
