Kumar Sublime is appreciated for its GREEN INITIATIVES
Kumar Sublime Cooperative housing society in Kondhwa has won many accolades for its various green initiatives.
The society of about 86 flats has won the Best Society Award from the Pune Municipal Corporation for implementing myriad green initiatives creating a sustainable environment for the residents of the society. The society for the last eight years has been receiving rebates in their property tax.
The society is ably managed by chairman Shabbir Sayyed, secretary Avelino Noronha and treasurer Ramamurthy Srinivasan alongwith hundred percent support of the residents.
Projects :
- Vermicomposting pits – Can decompost wet waste of 100kg daily for six months
- Sewage treatment plant – 30,000 litres per day
- Sanitary pad disposal machine – One sanitary napkin takes 3 minutes to incernate
- Roof turbine – Scvenges the bed smell from the STP plant naturally with the help of atmospheric air
- Sky light – Helps radiate sun light this illuminating the dark areas of STP plant
- Rain water harvesting – Help charge the ground water bed
- Solar water heater – Hot water to residents.
- Leave shredding machine was recently installed which helps in reducing the volume of dry leaves and makes it into a powder
- LED Lights installed in the common areas which has resulted in electricity savings
- Eco 365 to control flow of water
- Systematic coconut shell disposal
- Tree plantation held on various occasions
- Steel cutlery for functions (No use of paper or plastic plates)
- Presenting bouquets filled with usable items instead of flowers
- Solar grid installation in planning stage at the society
