As the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are coming closer & closer, several politicians, political parties etc have put their banners, hoardings, flexes, ads etc all over the city. However, Model Code of Conduct is being implemented in Pune. So, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has started to remove all kinds of ads, flexes, hoardings etc. Since 16th March, the PMC has removed more than 3000 hoardings, banners, ads etc of political parties, politicians etc.

As per further information from the PMC “Preparation of Model Code of Conduct for Lok Sabha Election 2024 has started by PMC! Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Madhav Jagtap, action is being taken by the Licensing and Sky Sign Department on wall writings, posters, cutouts/hoarding banners, ads, etc. and all other types of advertisements within PMC limits.”

However, when will action be taken according to the act of defacement of government property? Because no one else seems to have painted such graffiti, only BJP has littered the entire city like this.”
