Pune, June 24, 2025 – Monsoon showers continued across Pune district over the last 24 hours, with the hilly regions receiving the most rain. Kurvande in Lonavala recorded the highest rainfall at 162 mm by 9 AM on Tuesday, according to official data.

As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the ghat areas are expected to see heavier rain compared to the city. The rainfall activity matches the IMD’s forecast of increased monsoon intensity in the western highlands of Pune district.

Other notable rainfall readings include Girivan (105 mm) and Bhor (90 mm), confirming active monsoon conditions in western Pune. In contrast, city areas such as Shivajinagar (18.1 mm), Magarpatta (7 mm), and Hadapsar (7.5 mm) received only light to moderate showers.
