Mahalunge residents demand solution to increasing menace caused by encroachments, unclean premises

Pune: Members from various residential societies in Mahalunge met the Assistant Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) Aundh-Baner Ward Office Girish Dapkekar to address issues such as drainage, cleanliness, encroachments and many more.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Abhijit Chowgule, Pristine Equilife Homes, Mahalunge said, “On Thursday, December 21, the members of Royal Serene Society, Pristine Equilife Homes Society and Sky Bay Society in Mahalunge met Girish Dapkekar, Assistant Commissioner, PMC Aundh-Baner Ward Office, regarding cleanliness, sewage, garbage, encroachments etc in Shitaladevinagar, Mahalunge. Dapkekar has informed us that he will visit our area in the next few days along with his officers. On this occasion, Vitthal Padwal, Aditya Khade, Abhijit Chowgule (Pristine Equilife Homes Society), Swanand Dhondse, Hitesh Mane, Aakash Khapre (Royal Serene Society) and Santosh Gaikwad (Sky Bay Society) were present during the meeting.”

Chowgule further added that in addition to these issues, there are also issues of water supply, property tax etc. However, Girish Dapkekar told them that for these issues, the main PMC office in Shivajinagar should be approached by the society members. Hence, for the redressal of these, all the members are planning to approach the main PMC office in Shivajinagar in the first or second week of January 2024.
