The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has made revisions to the timings of the Maharashtra Board Class 10 and 12 examinations for the year 2024.
Notably, the board will no longer allocate an additional 10 minutes for students to read the question papers before attempting the Maharashtra Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams.
The decision to discontinue the extra reading time is a response to concerns related to alleged question paper leaks during this period in previous exam cycles.
Henceforth, students will have a fixed duration of 3 hours to complete the Maharashtra Board exam question papers, with no additional reading time.
This adjustment aims to enhance the integrity of the examination process by mitigating potential issues associated with the previous practice.
For Class 12 students, the examinations are scheduled to commence on February 21, 2024. On the other hand, Class 10 students will begin their annual board exams slightly later, with the exams set to be conducted from March 1, 2024.
The Higher Secondary Certificate exam is slated to take place from February 21 to March 23, while the Secondary School Certificate exams are scheduled between March 1 and March 22, 2024.
