The logo for the 98th All India Marathi Literary Conference has been unveiled, featuring Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s royal seal and the nib of a pen. This design, submitted by Prasad Gawli, Director of “Manthan School of Creativity and Art” in Loni Kalbhor, was chosen from over 100 entries in a national-level competition organized by the Pune-based group “Sarhad”.

Raj Thackeray, President of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and a renowned cartoonist, selected the design for its simplicity and powerful symbolism. “The logo perfectly represents Maharashtra’s sovereignty and literary heritage,” Thackeray stated. The royal seal symbolizes Maharashtra’s rich history, while the pen nib represents literature and the artistic community.

The competition drew entries from across the country, showcasing the talent and creativity of numerous artists. Sanjay Nahar, founder-president of Sarhad Sanstha, announced that all participants would receive certificates, while Gawli would receive special recognition at the conference for his winning design.

The 98th All India Marathi Literary Conference is scheduled to take place in Delhi, marking the event’s return to the national capital after 70 years. The conference will bring together scholars, writers, poets, and literary enthusiasts from across India to celebrate the richness of the Marathi language. The event is slated for the last week of February.

With the logo’s unveiling, the countdown to the conference has begun. The chosen design embodies the spirit of Marathi literature and Maharashtra’s proud heritage, setting the tone for a memorable and inspiring event.
