A warning has recently been issued on behalf of the Maharashtra New Professors Association. According to this, if the demands of the professors are not met, they will go on a hunger strike in front of the office.


The President of the Organisation Sandeep Pathrekar said, “It’s a tragedy that the Outline of October 2017 has still not been approved.”

Their demands include;
•Hourly professors to be paid more.


•Experience of the professor to be taken under consideration while making permanent •appointments of the professors.
The director of education is to be filled 100% immediately.


•Assistant professors should be appointed from the approved posts should be appointed from the approved posts on October 1, 2017.


Currently, the state is accepting applications for 2,888 assistant professor positions.
Following October 2017, every position throughout various subjects has vacancies for several reasons including abrupt deaths and retirement.
Moreover, there are around 12,000-15,000 open assistant professor positions at the State’s non-agricultural colleges and there are 8,000-10,000 non-teaching staff vacancies available.
