The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education is set to commence the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) class 10 examinations starting from March 1, 2024, extending up to March 26, 2024. This crucial academic milestone for students will unfold in two sessions: the first session runs from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, followed by the second session from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Introducing a notable alteration, a new protocol has been established for students appearing in the SSC class 10 examination. Contrary to the traditional 10-minute reading time allowance at the beginning of the examination, students will now receive an additional 10 minutes upon completion of the test.

Ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of the examination process, the board has deployed Assistant Pari Rakshak teams at examination centers. These teams are mandated to maintain vigilance over the answer sheets, with GPS tracking enforced as a precautionary measure. Moreover, both district-level Bharari teams and State Board Bahari teams have been mobilized to fortify security measures further.

Recognizing the escalating stress levels among students during examination periods, the board has appointed a cadre of 10 counselors at the state level. These counselors will offer guidance and support to students navigating the academic rigors, aiming to alleviate stress and promote mental well-being during the examination phase.

This year, a notable surge in enrollment figures marks a significant milestone, with a total of 16,009,445 students registering for the SSC examinations, compared to the 15,772,256 students registered the previous year.

In tandem with this rise in enrollment, security arrangements have been augmented to uphold the sanctity of the examination process.
