Maharashtra Tourism Minister flags off all-new Deccan Odyssey Train 2.0
Mumbai, Sep 22 : Maharashtra Tourism Minister Girish Mahajan on Thursday flagged off the new form of Deccan Odyssey Train 2.0 from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus here, in presence of Assembly Speaker Advocate Rahul Narvekar.
Following which, the train ran from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Thane and Panvel and returned to CSMT again. The main objective of this luxurious and comfortable train is to introduce the tourist places of the state to the national and international tourists.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister expressed optimism that the new form of Deccan Odyssey Train 2.0 will boost national and international-level tourism in the state.
He said that international standard facilities and services have been made available to the tourists on this train. Deccan Odyssey is the most luxurious train not only in the state but also in the country, he pointed.
With the start of this train, international tourists will be able to enjoy visiting the tourist spots in the state, he noted. The old train has now undergone various changes and has a total of 21 coaches. There are 40 deluxe suites and two presidential suites. It also has one conference hall. Apart from this, there are facilities like health spa, generator van, gym, cable TV, internet, library, music player, Mahajan added.
