Major Accident : 1 woman killed, 18 injured in road accident as MSRTC bus fell into deep gorge in Nashik
Nashik, July 12 (UNI) One woman died and another 18 passengers were injured when a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus fell into a deep gorge at Saptashrungi Ghat near Vani in Kalwan taluka of the district in the early morning of Wednesday.
According to police sources, a MSRTC bus was heading towards Khamgaon from Saptashrungi Ghat. At that time, the bus fell directly into the valley from the Ganapati stage in the ghat.
Saptashrungi Devi Trust, Police Administration, Villagers, and Disaster Management reached the spot as soon as they got information about the incident.
The injured are being admitted to a rural hospital in Vani. A woman died in an accident, and ST Corporation has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the family of the deceased.
