Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, July 12 : At least 20 passengers were injured, after the private luxury bus they were travelling in hit a trailer truck on the Samruddhi Expressway in Aurangabad district in the early hours of Wednesday.
The series of accidents on the Samruddhi Expressway seems to be unstoppable.
The front portion of the bus was completely crushed in the accident due to a collision between the bus and truck.
At least 20 people have been injured in this accident, 11 of them have been treated and discharged while 9 injured were being treated at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here, police added.
Meanwhile, on getting the information about the accident, the Samruddhi Expressway highway police immediately rushed to the spot with the rescue team.
It may be noted that, On July 1, 25 passengers lost their lives in a horrific accident involving private travel in the Buldhana district when the bus caught fire after hitting a divider.
