Mango festival begins from April 1

Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board has organised mango festival from April 1, 2022 at the Market yard in Gultekdi in Pune. This direct from farmers to consumers concept is a platform to buy products from the farmers. The information was announced by APMC executive director Sunil Pawar.

Balasaheb Patil, president, APMC informed that last year due to Covid the festival was not arranged.
Vice president of the APMC board Shambhuraj Desai informed that the festival will have participation from Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Raigad mango producers. Further producers from other states will join in as per the season.

The mango festival will be held at Gate no 9, opposite PMPML bus depot till May 31, 2022.
More than 51 stalls have been booked by mango producers which has maximum participation of Kesar and Alphonso mango producers. Deepak Shinde, chief manager, said that citizens should take benefit from this festival and buy products directly from the farmers.
